Lawrence J. O'Brien, Jr.

Chief Executive Officer

Larry O'Brien joined Security Forces in 1971 bringing with him a varied background, including experience with JC Penney Company, New York City; Provident National Bank, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and a tour in the Army where he was an Adjutant General Corps Officer.

Larry earned a BA in Economics from Washington & Jefferson College and an MBA from Temple University.  He is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), Council on Business Practices, American Management President's Association, International Security Management Association (ISMA), and TEC - an international organization of CEO's.  Larry serves on the Washington & Jefferson College President's Advisory Council.

Thomas W. Fogle

President / Director of the Executive Committee

Tom Fogle joined Security Forces in 2004 and serves as the Director of the Executive Committee for both Security Forces and SFI Electronics.  Tom assumed duties as President of SFI Electronics in 2008.

After graduating from American University with a Master’s degree in Administration of Justice, Tom served as an officer in the military intelligence branch of the U. S. Army.  Prior to joining SFI, Tom gained operations management and executive experience during a twenty-year career with a national security company, serving as Senior Vice President.

Tom is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).  His past professional affiliations include Pi Alpha Alpha (the public administration honor society) and the American Society of Criminology.

Marshall T. Copeland

Vice President

Marshall Copeland joined SFI Electronics as Controller in 1980 and has held several positions, including Manager of Finance and Director of Operations.  He is currently General Manager and was named Vice President in 1998.

Marshall worked previously for J. P. Stevens & Co., Inc., Charlotte, NC, and Holiday Inns, Corporate Headquarters, Memphis, Tennessee.  He served in the Army in Vietnam and taught accounting at Troy University in Alabama.  Marshall is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he received a B.S. and  M.S. in Accounting. He completed additional graduate work at the University of Arizona, Tucson.
